Medium lemon-gold colored, the nose of the 2010 Rabaud-Promis is a little oxidative and evolved, with notions of baked apples, stewed apricots and dried mango plus wafts of marzipan and marmalade. The palate has a good amount of evolution, with a pleasantly nutty character and a lively lift to the finish.

The Rabaud-Promis 2010 has a rather alcoholic bouquet with pineapple, tangerine and apricot jam that is uncomplicated and perhaps missing the finesse that it displayed from barrel. The palate is ripe and rounded with pleasant viscosity and depth. It builds nicely in the mouth with peach and apricot notes, and hints of honey and quince toward the satisfying finish. This represents a neat and tidy Sauternes, even if it is lacking ambition. Drink now-2026.
